Pucci Via Post

Whenever I plan an event…in this case the event just happens to be my wedding…I always like to take inspiration from historic fashion weeks. The mere fact that designers have to ‘whow’ an incredibly difficult audience season after season, year after year breeds such creativity and attention to detail. Today I am designing invitations and have thoroughly enjoyed perusing through some of the more out of the box creations. Namely from Mulberry which include a blow up rubber ring in S/S 12 and for S/S this year the most beautiful little Wedgwood teacups (scroll down for pictures below!).

Whilst wonderful I am not sure either of those ideas are particularly relevant to the feel I have in mind – Pucci on the other hand - has come up trumps. Their September 2012 invitation was an elegant wax sealed, vellum enveloped affair containing beautiful embroidered, embossed and hand addressed cards. Now not being a mega rich fashion house myself I am currently in the throws of trying to recreate this Laurent Perrier look on more of a lemonade budget!
