Definitions
āPro Sellerā: Sign of the Times or other businesses or professional
sellers offering goods for sale through our platform. This includes us
and other businesses selling in the course of trade. These listings are
clearly marked and all applicable consumer rights apply.
āIndividual Sellerā: A private individual selling goods via our platform on a consignment basis. We act solely as an agent and are not a party to the sale. These items are clearly marked, and consumer rights do not apply.
āYouā / āBuyerā: The person purchasing goods from our platform.
āBusiness Dayā: Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.
Our Business Models
Individual Seller Model (Agency): Sign of the TimesĀ acts solely as a facilitator between you and the individual seller. The contract of sale is between you and them.
Pro Seller Model (Trader): Sign of the Times or another business owns and sells these goods directly to you, and all applicable UK consumer protection laws apply.
Order Process and Acceptance
Your order is only accepted once we dispatch the item to you. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order prior to dispatch (e.g., due to pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraud). For high value orders we will require a proof of identity.Ā

We are committed to transparency and clarity before any purchase is made. The following information is provided in accordance with the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002:
Our identity
The seller will be clearly stated on the product page (either a Pro Seller or an individual seller via our consignment
platform).
Product details and pricing
Each product listing includes a clear description of the item, its condition, and any accessories. The full price is shown in GBP and includes VAT. Delivery charges, where applicable, are clearly displayed at checkout.
Ordering process
To place an order:
1. Add the item to your shopping bag.
2. Proceed to checkout.
3. Enter delivery and payment details.
4. Review and confirm your order.
5. You will receive an email confirmation once your order is accepted.
Correcting mistakes
Before completing checkout, you may amend any errors by navigating back to the relevant field. If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us immediately at hello@signofthetimeslondon.com.
Returns and cancellation rights
Your cancellation rights depend on whether the item is sold by Sign of the Times (Pro Seller) or on consignment (Individual Seller). Please refer to our Returns and Refunds section for full details.
Storage of contracts
A summary of your order and these terms will be emailed to you after purchase. Please keep this for your records. Sign of the Times also retains online order contracts via Shopify for orders placed through our website.

Returns and Refunds
If you purchase from a Pro Seller:
You have 14 days to cancel your order
Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the return
Returned items must be in the same condition as received, with tags, accessories, and original packaging intact.
We ask the buyer to cover the cost of return unless the item is faulty or the wrong item was sent. In which case we will cover return postage.
Use the return address included in your parcel, or email hello@signofthetimeslondon.com if missing.
For items sold by Individual Sellers (Consignment):
Items are owned by individual sellers; Sign of the Times is not the seller of record.
Store credit (not refund) is offered as a goodwill gesture if:
You notify us within 7 days of receiving the item.
The item is returned within 7 days of receipt.
It is returned in the same condition with tags, accessories, and packaging intact.
Store credit is valid for 3 months and usable in-store or online.
Store credit is issued after the item is quality-checked.
Please note that all items are pre-owned and we have done our best to capture the condition in the images however in certain instances it may vary.Ā
Items Not Eligible for Return
We cannot accept returns for:
Items that have been worn, damaged, or altered after delivery.
Items returned outside the return window.
Items marked as 'final sale' or 'non-returnable'. Such as earrings, swimwear, socks and tights.
High-Value Items
All consumer rights apply regardless of price however we strongly encourage in-store viewings for high value items.
In-Store Purchases
All in-store purchases are final. Returns, refunds, or exchanges are not accepted unless the item is faulty.
In this instance, we are so sorry to hear about your issue. Please contact us and we will deal with this on a case by case basis depending on the seller.Ā
Pricing and Payment
All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit/debit cards and secure payment methods.
Delivery
We dispatch orders within 1ā5 business days depending on the selected shipping method. Tracking is provided upon dispatch.
Faulty, misdescribed or double sold Items
Contact us immediately if something is wrong with your item at hello@signofthetimeslondon.com
As we only have one of every item, if an item is sold in store before it is sold online we reserve the right to honour the in-store sale and will not fulfil the online order. We are sincerely sorry for any frustration this may cause and do our best to make sure errors do not occur.
If there is a pricing error we reserve the right not to honour the saleĀ
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect your statutory rights. We operate in compliance with UK consumer protection laws including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, Consumer Rights Act 2015, and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. Your legal rights are not affected.
Dispute Resolution and ADR

Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay due to events outside our control (e.g. natural disasters, wars, pandemics).
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.Ā
Updates to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new 'Last updated' date.
