Fur Goodness Sake

No one can deny that one of the most luxurious ways to keep warm in the winter months is with fur be it real or faux, fur is making a massive splash in the AW15 fashion pool.
In 1996, when an activist hijacked lunch and tossed a dead raccoon on Anna Wintour’s plate at the Four Seasons, it seemed fur may going the way of the whalebone corset. But according to research, more than 20 years later, 73% of this year’s shows in New York, Paris, Milan and London featured fur (faux and real).
Our lovely friends have been dropping off their furry winter warmers by the bus load and we are loving it. Begging for snow and colder temperatures, we just want to wrap up warm, close the curtains and snuggle by the fire.
If you're feeling daring and willing to go all in, why not give the yetti coat a try. Keeping your silhouette smart and sleek won't take away from the mad amount of fur. A gillet is great for this time of year when the weather just can't make its mind up. Don't make a fuss with colours, keep it simple and sexy and rock it with a pair of heels or a good pair of British wellies
If you're only just boarding the fur train and want to take baby steps, a fur stole or scarf draped over your coat is a great start. A headband, earmuffs or just a good old pair of trimmed gloves will add a little glam to your outfit. Contrast is key and a great way to lux up a look without sacrificing a streamlined silhouette is to opt for a classic cost in a classic colour heroing a fur neckline and cuff.
*Here at Timpanys, we pride ourself on respecting our clients. We are thankful for the pieces we are given and will always honour and respect your personal opinion on real and fake furs.
