This month its all about denim. With the ever important Jeans for Genes day approaching on the 23rd September, we will be giving 10% off all profits from denim sold in store between 16th September & the 23rd.
This great charity uses the money raised to fund a range of initiatives that improve the lives of children affected by a genetic disorder.
-They run an annual grant programme that is open to all UK charities and patient groups caring for children with genetic disorders.
-They develop resources for schools to make pupils more aware and empathetic of the difficult lives that children with genetic disorders lead.
-They also fund the work of Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity dedicated to supporting families affected by genetic disorders.
So, as you can see- a very worthy charity to support!

Now, how much do you really know about denim? Heres a few fun facts!
-Indigo, the blue colour of denim, was originally sourced from the plant. Nowadays it is generally synthetic.
-Before being named Jeans, they used to be known as 'waist overalls'.
- In the early 50ās jeans, blue jeans were banned in every theatre, school or public place as it was seen as a form of rebel against the conformism!
-The average women owns 7 pairs of jeans.
-Levis made the first pair of jeans in 1873.
-48% of the world's trade in fabric is in cotton, from which denim is made from.
-Statistics reveal that about 2.5 billion yards of denim is produced every year all around the world.
-Earlier, during the time of World War II, jeans for men had the normal style of the zipper being in front, but for women, the zipper was placed on the right side.
-The most expensive pair of jeans in the world right now? Itās the Dussault Apparelās Trashed Denim jeans which can be bought at $250,000!!
