- Where are the products going to launch?
The items will be spread amongst our ‘New In’ edit. You will see a beige rectangular tag under the product image which indicates which items are available at 1976 prices.
All 76 items will be available to shop once they go live on the 8th of March, International Women’s Day. You have to sign up on our landing page to receive the exclusive password via email on the 8th of march. This password is required to access the ‘New in’ Edit on our website, where all 76 exceptionally priced pieces will be available to shop. The sale items will be scattered amongst our ‘New In’ edit, making this experience much like the treasure hunt that shopping with Sign has become known for.
- Where can I find the product details?
You will not be able to see any product details before they go live in our New In edit of the 8th March. All details will be accessible in the product description on the website once they are live.
- Are the items only accessible online?
Yes, all 76 items will only be available online.
- Are they eligible for returns?
These items are only eligible for returns in exchange for store credit. Returns will follow our normal returns policy, which is 1 week.
- I've already signed up to your mailing list. Do I need to sign up again?
Yes, everyone needs to sign up to this list to get the password. If you’re on our mailing list already you still have to sign up.
- What time does it launch?
We will let you know the time of launch on March 8th International Women’s Day. Keep an eye on your inbox on the 8th March for an email containing the password tobe the first to know!
- How do I get the password?
You will need to sign up for access on our landing page (link) to receive the password on the day to access the sale. You can only access the sale items in the New In edit by receiving the password sent via email on March 8th.
- How long are they available?
The items will be on sale for their 1976 prices for 48 hours, starting from when they go live on the 8th March. After that, they will be taken offline.
- How did you find the prices of these items?
We have manually accounted for inflation from 1976 to 2023 based on the 2023 prices of these items. We have not accounted for the individual price increases from each brand.
- Some of these items were not in existence in 1976. Why did you use them?
To give you the best selection possible we have chosen heritage brands that were founded before 1976 and have selected some of their most iconic items.
Sign of the Times is London’s original resale brand that was founded in 1976 and we are celebrating our 45 years of history. In edition, as Londons’s first female-founded luxury reseller, our Since '76 edit will launch on the 8th March in honour of International Women's Day. Shopping this curated edit will be much like the treasure hunt that shopping with Sign has become known for.
The items will be mixed amongst our ‘New In’ edit with other products. Each item at its 1976 price will have a beige rectangular tag that says “Since ’76” underneath the product image.
- Why was I not told about one of these items if I am on the waiting list for one of the items?
This is a limited time offer as a part of a one-off initiative, therefore all items will be equally available to everyone due to the nature of the promotion.

- When is the deadline to sign up?
You must sign up through the form on the Since ‘76 landing page by11:59pm on the 7th of March to receive the password to access the curated edit via email.
- Will I be able to access New In if I don’t sign up through the form?
You won’t be able to access our ‘New In’ edit on the 8th of March without the password. You must have the password to access our ‘New In’ edit to find the items at the beginning of the campaign. You will only receive the password if you sign up through our landing page. After the first 12 hours that the sale items go live, you will be able to access New In without a password.
- I had the item in my basket. Why did my payment not go through?
Items are not reserved if they are in your basket. Whoever completes checkout first will have secured the item. If you’re trying to buy a product and it says “Payment not processed” or “sold out”, it means someone else completed payment before you.
- What time will the 76 items go live on March 8th?
All 76 items will be available to shop for 48 hours after they go live on the 8th March. You will not find out the time that the items will go live, so make sure to check your inbox for an email containing the password required to access the edit and the time it will go live on the 8th March.
- What time will the password to access the edit be issued?
We are not disclosing what time you will receive the password or when the edit will go live, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for an email containing all the details and the password to access the edit on the 8th March. Fill out the form on our landing page to receive the email on the 8th March.
- My password to access the sale doesn’t work. What should I do?
If the password you received does not work, please send a WhatsApp to 07801535153 and our team will assist you.
- I missed the deadline to sign up, can I still shop the 76 pieces?
If you have missed the deadline to sign up, you will not receive the password in time to access the edit for 12 hours after the sale items go live on the 8th March. After the 12 hours are up, you will be able to access our New In edit, where the 76 sale items will be scattered. All sale items will be removed from our site 48 hours after they go live on the 8th March.
- How long is the sale going to be password protected?
Access to the ‘New In’ Edit, where all 76 sale items will be available to shop from the 8th March, will be password protected for 12 hours. After that, you will be able to shop the remaining sale items until they are removed from our site 48 hours after they go live on the 8th March.
- Do I need to make an account on the website to access the edit?
You do not need to make an account on our website. Simply fill out the form on our landing page to receive an email containing the password required to access the edit on the 8th March.
- What happens if the website crashes?
Our website is hosted by Shopify, who are able to handle lots of traffic at once. Should anything happen we have a development team ready to fix any issues immediately. You are more likely to see an error page if you click lots of times on the website in quick succession. This is Shopify trying to protect our site from bots. It only pauses the website for you and not anyone else - the best thing is to stop clicking, please try again in a couple minutes by refreshing the page.
- Why am I unable to access the edit?
If you come across an error page, please stop clicking and wait for a couple minutes before refreshing the page. To avoid being flagged as a bot, we recommend not opening multiple browsers of the sale at once.
- What will happen to the items that have not sold after 48 hours?
48 hours after the items go live on the 8th March 8th, all 76 sale items will be removed from our website.
- Can I reserve an item beforehand?
No. This is a limited time offer as a part of a one-off initiative, therefore all items will be equally available to everyone due to the nature of the promotion. Items are shoppable on a first-come first-serve basis, so don’t keep any items in your cart for too long and complete check out before anyone else does.
- Can I use discount codes on the 76 sale items?
No, you cannot purchase any of the 76 sale items in conjunction with any other discount codes.
- I live outside of the UK. Do you accept international shipments?
Yes. Items being delivered outside of the UK are now subject to customs fees, which will be the responsibility of the customer, regardless of whether the item is going to be returned. - What are your shipping charges?
Shipping charges will follow our normal delivery method. We offer a variety of shipping options worldwide, with UK delivery starting at £7.99. Please see here for more information on our online delivery options.
- How do you decide who gets to purchase each piece?
In the interest of making the sale accessible and fair to all, we have not limited purchasing. Sale items will be sold to whoever completes check out first.
- Is the purchasing going to be regulated to prevent bots from buying sale items?
To protect our site from bots, Shopify will make the edit temporarily unavailable to visitors that click multiple times on the website in quick succession. If you come across an error page, the best thing is to stop clicking and wait a couple minutes before refreshing the page.
- Do the bags come with an authentication card?

- Are all 76 items authentic?
Yes, they have been authenticated in house by our authentication experts.
- Is next day delivery available for sale items?
Given that we will have a large quantity of orders to fulfill during the sale, next day delivery for sale items will not be available.
- What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit and credit payments. Shop Pay, PayPal and Google Pay are all available as well.
- How many items can I purchase from the sale?
There isn’t a limit to how many items you can purchase from the sale. Given that the items will be scattered amongst our new in edit, we recommended purchasing one item at a time as soon as you add to cart to ensure that you are the first to complete check out.
- If I am not shopping for the Since ‘76 items, will I still be able to access the news in edit during the sale?
You will not be able to access the new in edit as normal for the first 12 hours from the hour that the sale goes live. After that, you will be able to access the sale items and new in edit as normal.
- How long will the New In section be password protected?
12 hours.
